byMaraca is all about traditionally silversmithed jewellery for non-traditional people, a selection of bold yet sophisticated pieces made by me, Mareike, in my workshop on the Wirral, UK.

All pieces are crafted based on traditional silversmithing techniques, handmade from start to finish: from the first snip of the pliers to the last high-shine polish.

You are guaranteed to receive a piece that has come from a small business which uses UK-based suppliers wherever possible, and strives to be sustainable from start to finish. Most byMaraca pieces start out as plain wire or sheet metal, and once they leave my jewellery bench and are shipped from my little workshop here in Merseyside, they are finished, shiny pieces of jewellery, ready to carry meaning.

All my byMaraca endeavours only started because I needed an outlet for my creativity, and the many designs and ideas are proof that it was one of my best ideas!

AUTHENTICITY
byMaraca jewellery comes from me, a one-woman small business, and is started and finished by me. I even design only jewellery I would (and do!) wear myself.
SUSTAINABILITY
byMaraca sources all supplies from UK-based businesses where possible. Small batch smithing isn't wasteful by over-producing on goods. Read more here.

3 - byMaraca earrings for those with sensitive ears! Most posts (the part that goes through the ear) are made of 925 Sterling Silver, which reduces the likelihood of itchy ears. While I don't advertise my earrings as hypoallergenic, a lot of customers that tend to get itchy ears from brass are grateful for the silver.
